Traverse City Update #2: Rangers Lead Thrashers 2-1 after Two

Two periods have been played between the Rangers and Thrashers in Traverse City, and the Blueshirts are currently leading the game 2-1. Defenseman Tomas Kundratek was the lone goal scorer in the period for the Rangers. The goal came on the powerplay assisted by Ethan Werek, which allows the Rangers to take a 2-1 lead with them into the second intermission.

An astounding twelve penalties have been handed out over the course of the first two periods, six to the Rangers, and six to the Thrashers. Not too sure why so many penalties, but neither team seems to be overly benefiting from the numerous powerplays they have received.

The Rangers are out-shooting Atlanta 25-18 through two.

Stay tuned for third period results and a game summary....
