Traverse City Update #2: Rangers Down 2-1 after Two

At the conclusion of two periods, the Blueshirts are trailing the Hurricanes 2-1. The story of this game so far, from what I have read, is the four penalties the Rangers have taken, three of which were committed in the second period.

Ryan Bourque - (High Sticking), 2 min, 1:28
Justin Soryal - (Roughing), 2 min, 6:03
Michael Del Zotto - (Slashing), 2 min, 11:12

Despite the penalties, the Rangers did find a way to get a shot past Carolina goaltender, Mike Murphy, as Danieal Bartek scored unassisted at 3:36 of the second. Carolina answered back later in the period as Matt Kennedy also scored unassisted at 15:16 of the second.

The Rangers are being outshot 28-20.

Stay tuned for results from the third period....
