Lines Stay the Same, Parenteau Hit with Puck

Just to give you an update on today's Ranger practice, the following are some quick tidbits courtesy of Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants. At one point in the 50-minute practice, Chris Higgins took a shot which deflected up and hit forward P.A. Parenteau in the ear. The original contact had him shaken up for a bit, but luckily just after a few minutes, the Hartford call-up returned feeling better.

All players were on the ice for the Blueshirts this morning, obviously minus Chris Drury (concussion) and Brandon Dubinsky (broken hand) who remain out of the lineup. There are still no new updates or timetables as to when they will return, or even hit the ice for that matter, but both have supposedly been undergoing off-ice work.

Other than that, the line combinations were the same as they were on Saturday in Ottawa.

Lisin - Prospal - Gaborik
Parenteau - Higgins - Kotalik
Avery - Anisimov - Callahan
Brashear - Boyle - Voros

Staal - Girardi
Redden - Gilroy
Del Zotto - Rozsival

John Tortorella mentioned that he would be distributing some of defenseman Marc Staal's ice time to Wade Redden, as Reds has been playing a more solid game than Staalsy has of late. Torts said it would be best if he manages Staal's ice time strictly to help him get through this slump. This also means more time on the powerplay units for Redden.

More Later.....
