Lundqvist, Redden, Brasher In Against Hawks

Defensemen Wade Redden and forward Donald Brashear will return to the lineup tonight in Chicago as per Steve Zipay of Blue Notes. Redden's last appearance was on November 25th in Florida, while Brashear's was just three days later in Pittsburgh. Brashear did say that it has been his ribs that have been causing him the problems, not the wrist or hand as was first suspected. With this, Ilkka Heinkinen, Enver Lisin and Aaron Voros will all be healthy scratches in tonight's contest.

Also, Brandon Dubinsky did in fact participate in the morning skate with the team at the United Center, and is expected to be just a week away from returning. While Brandon could not shoot with much force, the young center still has made tremendous progress and should consider himself lucky being that he underwent a speed recovery. When he comes back, it will be do or die for some of the spare parts on this team--by that I mean extra players.

Henrik Lundqvist will also get the nod tonight, looking to redeem himself after allowing an extremely soft game-winning goal against the Detroit Red Wings at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. It will be Huet in net for the Hawks.

The offensive lines:

Avery - Prospal - Gaborik
Higgins - Drury - Callahan
Boyle - Anisimov - Kotalik
Brashear - Christensen - Parenteau

Reminder: Tonight's game is scheduled for 8:30 pm, not the usual 7, so the pregame article will be up a bit later later than normal. Back in a bit.....
