NHL Names Marian Gaborik Third Star of November

The National Hockey League has named Rangers forward Marian Gaborik the third star of the month behind Jarome Iginla of the Flames and Joe Thornton of the Sharks. In 13 games played in November, Gaborik registered 11 goals and eight assists, and is currently tied for the league lead in points. Gaborik, the top goal scorer with 21, was the only consistent player in the awful month for the Blueshirts. That makes his achievements even more remarkable being that he is putting up such numbers on a failing team. This award is no surprise and I am quite sure that it will not be the last of the year for Gabs.

Speaking of player of the month, we will be conducting our monthly poll here on the Rangers Tribune starting tomorrow, so make sure you tune in and cast your vote.
