Sanguinetti Returned to Hartford, Redden Will Play in Buffalo

Steve Zipay has reported on twitter that Defenseman Bobby Sanguinetti has been returned to the Hartford Wolf Pack today, after playing three games with the Rangers in place of the injured Wade Redden. Redden, who injured his shoulder three minutes into Wednesday's game against the Panthers, is expected to return to the lineup on Saturday in Buffalo when the Blueshirts go head to head with the Sabres.

Sanguinetti served his purpose but was nothing special in his three games. Surprisingly, Redden and Gilroy have been one of the better pairings on the back end for the Rangers this season, but based on previous decisions by John Tortorella I am not too sure that they will be reunited.
