Parenteau Sent Down, Dubinsky Activated

That is the word coming from Arthur Staple at Blue Notes. John Tortorella has decided to reassign forward P.A. Parenteau back to the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL) in preparation for Brandon Dubinsky's return to the lineup. It still has not been confirmed whether or not Brandon will dress for tomorrow's game against the Atlanta Thrashers, but it is a possibility.

I am actually quite surprised that they chose to send Parenteau down, as I felt he was playing well and contributing more than Enver Lisin was. I guess Torts felt that a goose-egg on the scoreboard in his last eight contests was not satisfying. I think that one of Boyle or Voros should have been waived instead, but maybe that will still happen. Who really knows with this team anymore?

Nonetheless, glad to see Dubinsky will be back soon, because his energy will be a plus right now for this descending squad.

All part of the "process". What is the process? Answer: etc., etc., etc. Great system, great game plan, great financial plan. Everything including Joe Micheletti is great with one small exception: The team, from top to bottom, stinks. And I do not fault the individual players. The problem is that these parts do not mesh. On other teams, many of these guys might do very well.

what is going on its like they're randomly picking people to send down. Parenteau was playing this is making no sense. They should have waived one of them Parenteau is playing unlike Voros. Ever since they sent down Gilroy I have been losing fate in management. Lets see what Gilroy did in the weeks before he was sent down played with TWO different rookies who had their first games when being brought up. The last time I checked we had three "veteran" defense men on the roster at the time. Those being staal, giradi , and Rozsival... so why gilroy making a huge move for someone well that better hurry up or the Rangers are going to sink too far

I agree with you guys, the management is appearing to be very weak at a time when we need them to be strong. Thye just are making the correct decisions, and neither is the coaching staff. It is alarming.

By the way, I think you are wrong about Boyle. While he is still largely unproven, he has not be used correctly. Boyle should be deployed on the wing, not as a center. When he skated on the wing, he looked faster and was harder on the puck. Boyle should be coached to live around the crease area, screening, bumping but not being moved, then collecting garbage. I think we all could be surprised by what he might accomplish there if given a choice. He could do what Voros was brought here to do and more. But he isn't going to get there by playing center or by skating on the fourth line. This is a problem with NYR: They bring in a guy, then they don't even take the time to evaluate him under fire. Why did they trade for Boyle if they don't want to play him? Why did they pick up Christiansen if they don't want to play him? Is this the "process"?
